Directions:
From junction 13 on M4, follow signs to Newbury Town Centre, then follow signs for racecourse. At racecourse roundabout (Burger King on left) go straight up the A339, and past the old Sandleford hospital. Turn right at next roundabout and follow signs for Wash Common. Go straight along Monks Lane until you reach double roundabout and continue straight over both, between the Monument and the shops (Essex Str). Continue for half a mile and after the road bends turn next left into Villiers Way. Take second left (Skippons Close); Goodwin Walk is at the top of this road.

My recent work explores local and Yorkshire landscapes that have been associated with battles or other forms of military activity. I use fragile materials, such as fraying textiles, watercolours and gesso paint, handmade paper and embroidery to depict the vulnerability of the landscape.
In all my work I attempt to include an element of hope and to suggest another dimension within the natural landscape; namely the reflection of the creator within creation. (The Goodwin Walk Studio is open from Sunday 9th May until Sunday 13th June, from 10am-4pm every day except Mondays and Tuesdays; also 6-8pm on Thursdays and Fridays.)
