Figurative painting in the tradition of English Impressionism. I work as much as possible direct from nature, even on a large scale. I paint urban landscape and like to show the works of man in pure landscape. Rocks, cliffs, escarpments, cathedrals and other structures I find fascinating when transformed by light. The sun re-designs the world every few hours, I love to watch this happen. I enjoy painting people, particularly children, and bringing them to life on canvas. I also enjoy exploring the expressive nature of paint.
