Trained at the Slade School, he initially held several part-time teaching posts, but he has now supported his family as a full-time artist for many years, exhibiting mainly in London, as well as undertaking various commissions, generally of architectural subjects.

During 2002 he made several journeys to his wife's home town in Italy to build up material for a successful exhibition at his London gallery, the Rona, of Weighouse Street W1.
He has a delightful and airy studio full of pictures in central Newbury which is a delight to visit.
