| I am a figurative artist and my work deals mainly with social issues but I also draw inspiration from my surroundings, people, animals, and the landscape, which are all absorbed and represented in my working process. I explore various techniques in the printing process ranging from soft and hard grounds to aquatint and monoprinting. Recently I have been working in woodcut and linocut, exploring the effects produced in these mediums. |

South African born, but British based, artist and printmaker Tania Richards takes her inspiration from social issues and concerns, including her experience working with the frail and terminally ill. Tania trained in Design and Fine Art at Durban School of Art, she is a member of Fairfields Printmakers Group and a member of Women's Work an artist led group that organises annual exhibitions celebrating Women's International Day on the 8th of March. Tania has exhibited along side the work of German born artist Kathe Kollwitz.
