Corn Exchange, Newbury

Some of Newbury's finest local talent of all ages perform for your entertainment. A mix of singing, comedy, music and dance. A great piece of low cost community and family entertainment, compered by members of the Young Corn Exchange. A fantastic activity for the Easter Holidays.

People from Newbury and the surrounding areas are invited to showcase their singing, dancing and comedy talents on the main stage.

Corn Exchange staff are kicked out of the building as members of Young Corn Exchange take over for two whole days.

YCE are a group of 12-25 year olds, trained by the Corn Exchange team to take over the running of the theatre. Everything from programming to promotion, stage and front-of-house management is planned and delivered by YCE members to the highest professional standards.

Lots of free fun and fantastic shows on offer over two days during half term.

An amazing night of comedy headlined by Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Carl Donnelly. Carl is one of the most exciting young comics, with a host of appearences on Mock the Week. He is joined by 'One of the top 5 Picks' of the Edinburgh festival last year, the intelligent and effortlessly funny, Tom Craine. The night is hosted by the hilarious Ed Gamble of the Peacock and Gamble Podcast. An Un-missable night of comedy porgrammed by members of the Young Corn Exchange as part of their Takeover 2012.

11.30 - 1pm - Giant xbox games. Large Screen.

12pm - 2pm Outdoor Finger Art (Market Place- - Free) 1.30 -

4pm - Retro Corner - come an enjoy retro toys, computer games and music. Something for the kids that parents will enjoy too. (Corn Exchange - Free)

Join the Young Corn Exchange for what they do best - a night of great live bands packed with music you know and music you don't - yet!

Take Aim with Kazabian, who have firmly established themselves as one of the most accurate tribute bands in the world, as they bring you your favorite hits from all of Kasabian's albums.

Supported by The Kinky Boot Beasts, back by popular demand to bring you their unique sound and The Ungrateful Adopted, local punk/pop/metal hybrid playing for the first time in Newbury.

Between acts local accoustic sensation James Creed will be playing some of his new songs.
