 The Corn Exchange presents:
J9
New Greemham Arts, Newbury
J9 is an installation that incorporates cinematic projection, interactivity and text. The work will be presented in two forms, first as a cinematic loop, projected onto a wall of the gallery and second as an interactive version on a screen.
The installation uses ‘computational video’ software techniques to sequence the video edits. The use of a recurring narrative form is intended to evoke the way in which we map our own internal experience onto diverse locations and cultures as we travel.
The project has toured international shows for the past 3 years including exhibitions in USA, Brazil and Japan.

 The Watermill presents:
William Fiennes
Watermill Book Club
The Watermill, Bagnor, Newbury
At the end of William Fiennes’ bestselling and award-winning debut, The Snow Geese, Fiennes returns from a long journey and leaves the reader as he walks up the drive to his family home, Broughton Castle.
Here, in The Music Room, he leads us in to the heart of that home. Bursting with tender detail and combining quiet humour, tactful pathos and wisdom, The Music Room is a sensuous and deeply moving tribute to place, memory and the permanence of love.
Join William as he discusses the book and talks about his childhood growing up in awe of his epileptic brother, Richard. He is the recipient of the Somerset Maugham Award and was the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year.

 Arlington Arts presents:
The Hamsters
Arlington Arts Centre, Mary Hare, Newbury
The guitar, bass and drums trio The Hamsters have long been established as one of our premier live attractions, having performed over 4,000 concerts in 23 years.
Although primarily playing their own brand of rootsy Rock, Blues and Americana, they're also widely regarded as the UK's leading interpreters of the music of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top, and will no doubt be featuring plenty tonight. The band's guitarist/singer Slim recently had a new interview in Guitarist Magazine, and the lads have just released a new 3-hour double live DVD, titled Curse Of The Killer Hamsters!'
"The Hamsters are fabulous: one of Britain's very best live bands" Bob Harris (Radio 2)
"Nobody does the music of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top better (apart from the real ZZ Top)” The Times
